Sometimes, we just need to remember what the Rules of Life really are:

#1 You only need two tools: WD-40 and Duct Tape.
If it doesn't move and it should, use the WD-40.
If it shouldn't move and it does, use the duct tape.

#2 Everyone seems normal until you get to know them.

#3 Never pass up an opportunity to go to the bathroom.

#4 If you woke up breathing, congratulations! You get another chance.

#5 No husband has ever been shot while doing the dishes.

been lucky

Okay, I checked back with my family and this guy whose tractor tipped off was really lucky... Nothing serious happened - thank G'd! It's such a relief...

Maybe sad things happened...

I was just editting my other blog at http://book-a-holic.blogspot.com when I heard all kinds of sirenes in my hometown. With the weather just having changed again I thought it might be cause an older inhabitant couldn't cope with the sudden weather changes and therefore had some problems, but then I saw the fire engines right opposite to our house - well, that's what it looks like from my balcony...
Our house is on the one side of the small valley and the fire engines are on the other side of the valley. I thought there may have been a small fire, so I still didn't worry too much. We may only have a fire department with volunteering fire fighters, but they're really good.
But then my Mum came upstairs to see what was going on and told me that a tractor tipped over and here this means in fact there's hardly a chance there's no fire fighter involved (for some reason almost everone owning land and a tractor is a fire fighter).
Another bad thing is, it seems they're all running around the tractor and the car with the medical stuff doesn't know where to go to - and they don't help the car get to there.
So let's better hope it's just an injury. There have been too many accidents in this small town this year... :-(

Starting real life...

Well, that's what it feels like.

I have paid the fees to the university in Frankfurt (http://www.uni-frankfurt.de/presse/glance/ ) and now am a student there. I'll become a teacher for English and French (secondary education). The introductory part will be the second entire week in October.

At the moment, though, I'm spending a lot of time searching for a nice place to live in that has not more than the average drug dealers and addicts in the area. I like to be able to go out in the evening without having to worry about possible dangerous situations out there.
